Notes. Apparently uncommon species in Sicily, reported only from Ustica Island (Luigioni
1929) and Peninsula Magnisi (Siracusa) (Luigioni 1929; Biondi 2006). Por the first time
this species is recorded from Peloritani Mounts and Aeolian Islands.

Notes. Very common and widespread species in Italy, recorded until now for Sicily only
from Termini Imerese (Palermo) (Ciofalo 1886), Etna Mount (Gulli 1961), Nebrodi Mounts
(Biondi 1988), Egadi, Ustica and Pelagie Islands (Luigioni 1929; Lo Valve and Massa 1995;
Daccordi and Ruffo 1975). The Italian populations of this species are to attribute to the ssp.
semirufa (Kuster 1847).
