the centromeric position than to the differences in the relative size of
chromosomes (Tab. 1).
3.3. Leaf Anatomy
The leaf cross section of P. hierae (Fig. 3A) shows a semi-circular out-
line, with 9 well developed abaxial ribs and a flat adaxial face. The epi-
dermis is covered by a cuticle with several stornata along the perimeter.
