Zu ammenfassung

Neue karyologische und morphologische Befunde zeigen, dal3 auf den Mittelmeerinseln Sizi-
lien, Egadi, Malta und Gozo eine endemische Spitzmausan lebt(e), ftir die der Name Croci-
dura sicula Miller, 1901 verfi.igbar ist. Die Art wird neu definien; au13erdem wird ein neuer
BestimmungsschlUssel zu den europaischen Arten der Ganung Crocidura vorgesch lagen.
