Proposal APERTURES. PART B Priority6.1.3.1.1.2 - FP6-2005-TREN-4 p 27 of 49
List of most relevant projects: At the moment (2005) SASSO works in some projects, financed by the Framework
Programs of the European Community, in branches of Research, Energy and Endurable Development:
o SEARCH (RTD Craft) development of a new management and control system of an hydro power station
based on BUS technology of field with distributed intelligence
o SHERPA (Altener) analyse of the status of energy technologies’ art on isolated structures in West Europe
and further passage of the know-how to developing situations in East Europe.
o ORMA (Craft) project for the optimization for the resources and flows of energy, materials and wastes in
an industrial eco-park (industrial ecology)
o EUWMC (Cluster) creation of a grid on the subject of solid urban wastes
o CRESMED (Inco) Cost efficient and reliable rural electrification schemes for South Mediterranean
countries based on multi user Solar Hybrid grids
Today SASSO works all over the world (Europe, Asia, Africa and South America…) whether directly or in
collaboration with local situations, or still NGO, guaranteeing the service to each user: from small systems
for independent use, up to grid-connected plants, and till the most hidden refuges in the Alps.
By consequence, its clients are so different: from private industries to public research institutes, from motorway
societies to NGO , from municipality to many Alpine European Clubs and environmental associations.
Regarding solar-thermal installations, SASSO is being creating a good collaboration with big companies and
important RTD italian and foreigners organization.
Personnel involved: The SASSO team involved in the project will be lead by Mr. Andrea Sasso
