                                                              6. Conclusions

                                                                The predicted sea levels at the four test sites are
                                                              comparedwith the observed evidence in Fig. 13 in which
                                                              the predictedvalues are basedon the nominal earth- and
                                                              ice-model parameters and on the global esl function
                                                              illustratedin Fig. 12.Agreement between the twois now
                                                              satisfactory at the Carmel coast, at the Peloponnisos sites
                                                              andat Versilia plain site, but for the Coˆ te d’Azur the
