                dibili V.ne Lacino e V.ne Mandrazza in contrada Corriolo di S. Lucia del Mela scoperto nel
                1975 (Gramuglio loc. cit.). Rometta: a Rocche Jero, Puntale Saitta-Tracanali, Serro Ginestri-
                Tracanali, S. Pietro-Tracanali e a S. Lucia del Mela V.ne Ferrà (Picone & al. 2003). Higly
                endangered of extinction. – RR.

                ES – Already known by Gussone from cultivated material,  not correctly identified (A. pectina-
                ta Guss. non Gilib.); Mattei, who discovered the natural population, was the first that considered
                it as a distinct species from the Abies occurring in the Mediterranean region. – Mountains assim-
                ilable to relict colchic areas (Pignatti 1979 a). – Relict population of only 27 individuals occur-
                ring on the Madonie Mountains between Madonna degli Angeli  Valley and the top of  Mt.
                Scalone. Colma dei Pini, M. Cervi di Polizzi al V.ne dei Pini (Lojacono 1904). Data about the
                present status of the population can be found in Raimondo & Schicchi (2005). – RR.
