                Cultivated grasslands. – Reported by Nicotra (1878) for Milazzo, but never later confirmed. To
                be confirmed. – ?RR.

                Uncultivated ground and cultivations, also along the roads. – S. Martino, Boccadifalco,
                Ficarazzi e passim in Sicilia (Gussone 1845: sub A. erecta); Passim Siciliae, Catania (Lojacono
                1904: var. angustifolia + var. erecta); Widely found by us in the surroundings of Cesarò (Nebrodi
                Mountains)! – NC.

                Nitrophilous, muddy lands, clayeys, sands in inner sites as well as beaches. – “In herbosis salsis
                maritimis” Siracusa, Catania, Messina,  Trapani (Gussone 1845: sub  A. prostrata); Avola
                (Bianca) (Gussone 1845: 878; Sferracavallo (Tineo) (Lojacono 1904). Trapani (Nicotra 1893 a);
                Piana dei Greci, Corleone (Gussone) (Lojacono 1904). – Siracusa,  Agosta, Spaccaforno
                (Gussone 1845, Lojacono 1904).  – CC.

                Mainly nitrophilous, and also in muddy and clayey ground, as well as  sandy lands near the sea.
                – Very common in Sicily; less frequent in muddy ground. Piana de’ Greci, Corleone (Gussone
                1845: sub A. platysepala); Catania (Tornabene) (Gussone 1845: 878, sub A. platysepala). – CC.
